Mun-Yuen Leong Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer Mun-Yuen Leong is Avaya’s Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer. Avaya is a leading global provider of communications networks and services for businesses. He is responsible for Avaya’s technology strategy and architecture, R&D investments, cross-product architecture, standards activities and intellectual property for Avaya. In the area of technology strategy and architecture, Leong’s team has been focusing on next-generation communications technologies: SIP and converged communications, communication services and architectures, communications portals and personal workspaces, converged network infrastructure, security and mobility solutions. In the area of intellectual property, Leong is responsible for Avaya’s patent portfolio and technology assets. Leong is also the Vice-President and General
Manager of the Communications Appliances Division of Avaya. The appliances
division focuses on the user, with a very strong emphasis on mobility and
personal workspaces. This includes software, hardware and applications for
wired, wireless and mobile endpoints and terminals. Prior to this position,
Leong was the worldwide General Manager of Offers and Strategy for Enterprise
Data Networking at Lucent Technologies. |
