Adrian Georgescu is Founder and CEO of AG Projects. Adrian received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Bucharest Polytechnic University in 1996. He worked in Engineering for Tomrad Communications and Esprit Telecom. He subsequently held several positions in Operations and Management with Global Telesystems, Ebone and KPNQwest. In 2002, after several years of diversified and progressive experience within Telecom and Internet industries, he established AG Projects. Based in the Netherlands, AG Projects is a software vendor specialized in the development and deployment of real-time communications client and server solutions. AG Projects develops, maintains or contributes to more than thirty software packages among which are OpenSIPS, MediaProxy, OpenXCAP, CDRTool, MSRP Relay, Blink, SylkServer and stacks for real-time protocols and data-exchange mechanisms like SIP, TLS, XCAP, MSRP, RTP, TLS, JSON, PUB/SUB and P2P DHT.

Doug is a Systems Engineer in the Engineering Department at the Clarity Division of Plantronics, winner of the 2011 Digium Innovation Award. He started his career in Oak Ridge, Tennessee with a small touchscreen company now known as Elo Touch Systems. He has worked in IT in the medical, aerospace, ERP, hospitality, telephony, and soft drink industries for Lockheed Martin, IBM, Intercontinental Hotels, Verizon, and Coca Cola primarily in the Atlanta, GA market. He has been working at the Clarity Division of Plantronics in Chattanooga, TN for the last 7 years as a telephony, PBX, systems, and network engineer.

Antony has been involved in the telecommunications industry for over 20 years. He joined Dialogic in February 2009 after having held roles as CEO and CTO in previous employment. As a developer, Antony’s experience ranges from PBX hardware and embedded software, to IVR, Call Center, Media Server and Unified Messaging software and systems. He also co-created and was a key contributor to a number of open source projects including the Dialogic sponsored DiaStar® project. Antony is a graduate of DeMontfort University, Leicester UK.

Angie Reed, Product Marketing Manager for Business Phone Systems with Digium, is a subject matter expert in VoIP and telecommunications, with more than 13 years of experience. He currently serves as Vice President of Marketing for Edgewater Networks, where he is responsible for strategic business planning, product management, product marketing, partnerships and marketing programs to support the companys ongoing growth. With more than 150,000 units deployed, Edgewater has an estimated 21% market share of the enterprise session border controller market.

Mr. Martin is a seasoned speaker and has presented at Internet Telephony Conference & Expo, Broadsoft Connections conferences, Polycom User Group, Metaswitch Partners conference and many public webinars.

Julius P. Knapp II is the chief of the Federal Communications Commissions (FCC) Office of Engineering Technology (OET). OET is the Commission’s primary resource for engineering expertise and provides technical support to the Chairman, Commissioners and FCC Bureaus and Offices.

Mr. Knapp was named Chief of OET in October 2006, succeeding Ed Thomas who left the previous year, although he was the acting chief for some time before that. He became the Deputy Chief of OET in May 2001. Prior to that he was the Chief of the Policy & Rules Division where he was responsible for FCC frequency allocation proceedings and for proceedings amending the FCC rules for radio frequency devices. Mr. Knapp was Chief of the FCC Laboratory from 1994–1997 where he was responsible for the FCC’s equipment authorization program and technical analyses.

Mr. Knapp received a Bachelors degree in electrical engineering from the City College of New York in 1974. He is a member of the IEEE EMC Society and is a Fellow of the Radio Club of America. He was the 2001 recipient of the Eugene C. Bowler award for exceptional professionalism and dedication to public service and received the FCC’s Silver and Gold medal awards for distinguished service at the Commission.

Nir has been involved with the Asterisk Open Source community since 2002, serving as the Israeli community focal point and maintainer since 2003. Since 2009, Nir had become increasingly involved in the VoIP Security scene, specifically with Call Analytics and Fraud Analysis. Nir is currently the CEO of Greenfield Technologies, and the Chief Architect of the Humbug Project - both located in Israel.

Tim Wagner joined Samsung Mobile in 2010 as Vice President and General Manager of Business to Business (B2B) Sales. Mr. Wagner’s responsibilities include the management and growth of Carrier, Channel and Direct Sales of Samsung’s Enterprise Solution Portfolio (Smartphones, Tablets, Accessories and Vertical Applications) in the United States. He is also responsible for the evaluation, evolution and marketing of Samsung’s Enterprise Solutions, now called SAFE (Samsung Approved For Enterprise), with both internal Samsung Development Organizations as well as Strategic Partners.

Mr. Wagner joined Samsung from Research In Motion (RIM), where he was responsible for Business Solution Sales in North America. During his tenure at RIM, he was responsible for creating, managing and growing overlay solution sales and support teams for RIM’s Carrier Business Units, Direct Sales Organization and Channels Organization. Prior to his work at RIM, Mr. Wagner was responsible for Sales at Ascendent Systems which was acquired by RIM in March of 2006. With more than 20 years experience in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and International Marketing, Chris Swearingen is currently leading the SenseAware effort for FedEx. In his role, Chris oversees the US domestic and global rollout of SenseAware.

He has spent the last seven years at FedEx fulfilling a multitude of roles. Chris was hired by FedEx to launch its entry into NASCAR. In 2007, he was asked to move to the Innovation Department to utilize his start-up experience on the SensAware project. He was responsible for prototyping various business models, customer deployment and the day-to-day business operations of SenseAware.

Chris’ duties were recently expanded to include overseeing the SenseAware strategic direction including product development, customer experience, User-Interface design and market expansion.

His career has been eclectic with a mix of entrepreneurial, corporate and agency experience. He has worked with McDonald’s and various other Fortune 100 companies. He owned multiple Play It Again Sports stores and was the President of 360¬¬? Sports Marketing. Roush Racing acquired the agency and Chris went on to work as a senior member of the race team.

Paget L. Alves is the President of the Business Markets Group (BMG) for Sprint Nextel. He is responsible for all of Sprints sales and marketing to enterprise, general business and public sector customers. The Business Markets Groups portfolio of services includes IP, international wireless and wireline and domestic 3G and 4G wireless. As part of his BMG responsibilities, Paget also oversees the development of strategic alliances for Sprint.

Prior to his current position, Alves was the President of Sales & Distribution for Sprint Nextel. Previously, he served as President - South Region for Sprint, with responsibility for managing the P&L, all sales and distribution channels and local marketing programs in an 11-state region.

Alves has more than 20 years of experience with technology companies. In addition to his Sprint career, he has served as President & Chief Executive Officer of the Internet telephony services provider PointOne Telecommunications, Inc., President & Chief Operating Officer of Centennial Communications and Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of Murata Business Systems, Inc. He began his career as an attorney with IBM.

His business and professional affiliations include his current role as a member of the Board of Directors of Herman Miller, Inc., a global provider of office furniture.

Jakub Klausa works in the telecom industry for more then a decade, and is always interested in the new things happening to the technology and the market. He was on the team to build one of the first all-ip carrier grade networks in Poland. Jakub’s experience with both carrier level technologies, and consumer accessed solutions. For the last couple of years Jakub is involved in with SS7 Technologies, where he’s responsible for the technical projects making the convergence not only a buzzword, but also a reality. And there is a lot to do with bringing the telco’s gear to work right in the ip world.

David is a Chartered Engineer and has been in telecoms for more than 20 years. With experience that includes Air Traffic Control communications, Wireless Local Loop, Mobile Networks, Computer Telephony, Voice over IP and Asterisk, David set up TeleSpeak in 2006 to specialise in Asterisk training and select consultancy assignments.Today TeleSpeak is proud to have the only permanent Asterisk training facility in Europe (co-located with TeleSpeak HQ near Oxford, UK) and, through a network of employees and associates, is involved in Asterisk and SwitchVox deployments with a number of major corporations.In addition to the Asterisk training delivered in the UK, TeleSpeak also runs regular classes in Belgium and the Netherland in addition to occassional classes in Malaysia and many other parts of the world.David has been called the UKs Chief Asterisk Enthusiast - when he is not consulting on Asterisk or delivering training on Asterisk, hes probably doing something else with Asterisk... including creating a phone-in time table tester for one of his daughters!

Prior to joining TelStar Hosted, Jim was a founding member and managing partner for D Partners, a boutique consulting firm focused on transforming tough business situations into profitable business ventures in the High Tech, Financial, BPO and Customer Care industries. Jim has operated as executive management for publicly and privately held companies like GE ITS, SITEL, Stream International, Access Graphics, Oppenheimer Funds, and Kemper. Jim serves (or has served) on various boards including Capstone Strategic, Remote Power, and CLBL. Jim holds a BSBA and MBA from the University of Denver.

Michael A. Rouleau serves as Senior Vice President – Business Development and Strategy and has been with tw telecom since November 1999. His extensive experience in the telecom and data communications industries resulted in the successful implementation and delivery of many advanced and innovative products. In his current position, Mr. Rouleau is responsible for developing tw telecom’s strategic direction and integrating new services and technologies over the next several years. Prior to joining the company, he spent 15 years with US WEST where he was responsible for the development, deployment and management of data, Internet, and DSL businesses.

Graduated in Computer Network in 2007 and post-graduted in Computer Network in late 2008, started working at Alcatel-Lucent Brazil with cisco networks support.At end of 2009 joined the university(UNESP) Network Computer Group where had the first contact with Asterisk.Nowadays responsible for the Asterisk Project standards and deployment over the university, management of over 30 Asterisk Servers and the major services of the university as WWW, SMTP, network security, wan links and such.

Mr. Gates currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Xirrus. Having founded Xircom, Inc. in 1988 on the premise of delivering Ethernet connectivity to mobile computers, he attracted venture funding from Greylock, grew the company to 2,000 employees, and achieved revenues of $500M and a market cap in excess of $2B.

During his tenure as Chairman and CEO, Mr. Gates led Xircom into the wireless arena through partnerships and acquisitions that positioned the company to deliver mobility solutions based on IEEE 802.11, GPRS and BlueTooth technologies. He subsequently negotiated the sale of Xircom to Intel Corp. in March of 2001.
