Deane Leavenworth is Vice President, Corporate Relations and Communications for Time Warner Cable's Los Angeles Division, which serves more than 350,000 subscribers in Los Angeles and Orange County. Mr. Leavenworth oversees Time Warner's community and educational programs including Cable in the Classroom, Time Warner's 21st Century Literacy Initiative, Time 2 Count Reading and the Civic Literacy Project. He is the spokesperson for this leading cable television and high-speed data and digital phone provider and represents the company on legislative matters at the local, state and federal levels.
Prior to joining Time Warner in 2001, Leavenworth was a senior official on Los Angeles City Council and Mayor staffs. He spent more than a decade representing non-profit organizations in the field of health and human services. He began his career as a special education teacher.
