Charles Dougherty is Motorola Corporate Vice President and General Manager, Connected Home Solutions. Mr. Dougherty leads the Voice and Data Solutions group, which develops Motorola’s Internet Protocol (IP)-based subscriber premise and infrastructure solutions that enable service providers worldwide to leverage standards-based technologies to deliver profitable data, voice, and video services.
Previously, Mr. Dougherty was vice president and general manager of the Transmission Networks Systems group, where he was responsible for broadband transport and access network solutions. This included responsibility for industry-leading fiber optic and RF transmission platforms and NETadvantage professional services.
He has also held the position of General Manager of Motorola’s North American Voice-over-IP business. In this position, Dougherty was responsible for the development and marketing of VoIP broadband access network technologies and products within Motorola, focusing on customer premise equipment and access network technology development.
Mr. Dougherty has been employed with the Company for 24 years, in various system design, product management, marketing and general management positions.
Mr. Dougherty holds a master’s degree in business administration from Villanova University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
