Altamira Awarded $24.6M Prime Contract for Radio Frequency R&D for AFRL

Altamira Technologies Corporation has been awarded the Air Force Research Laboratory's (AFRL) $24.6M Distributed Radio Frequency Sensing (DRS) contract to provide next-gen radio frequency (RF) sensing technologies through advanced R&D of RF systems and sub-systems. The five-year CPFF contract will support the development of innovative solutions applying DRS to contested and congested spectrum environments.

Work performed for DRS builds on Altamira's internal and customer-funded RF R&D experience and will focus on advancements in technology areas such as Advanced Waveform Design, Adaptive Signal Processing, CR, Distributed Sensing, Passive Sensing, and OTHR. Altamira's demonstrated success with their patented DSAM technology-a Top 8 finalist for the ACT-IAC (News - Alert) 2017 Igniting Innovation Award-served as a key differentator in their approach to delivering end-to-end capabilities for AFRL. Altamira brings expertise in developing innovative concepts, and applying, validating, and integrating those solutions to advance the customer's mission.

"Our ongoing work with AFRL, and recognized success with DSAM technologies, solidifies Altamira's position as a leader in delivering advanced RF sensing solutions," said Jonathan Moneymaker, President of Altamira Technologies. "With this award Altamira strengthens our partnership with one of our key customers as we continue to perform the cutting-edge R&D needed to operate in future spectrum environments."
