Laptop Rehoming Program to Expand Distribution to Vulnerable Populations Across the UK

LONDON, July 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ --

SocialBox.Biz, a digital inclusion and laptop donation platform, will redistribute the items through qualifying charity partners.

SocialBox.biz has been redistributing old laptops to vulnerable populations and pop up classes, recently announced they are expanding operations across the UK to create a bigger social impact. The donated laptops allow the homeless, elderly, refugees, and other vulnerable individuals to search for jobs, connect with friends and family through email, and conduct other essential activities such as shopping.

Peter Paduh, the Chairman of SocialBox.biz, explains, "Society is becoming ever more dependent on computerised technologies, but thousands of people still lack access to these vital resources, causing them to live in social and digital exclusion here in this country. Our priority is to turn old laptops into a resource for digital and social inclusion."

Valuable new partnerships with corporations and charities have allowed SocialBox.biz to expand its reach. "We're so grateful to Former Lord Mayor of Westminster Jan Prendergast (pictured) for her role in coordinating these donations for disadvantaged people inWestminster City and sharing these stories of hope with us," Peter added.
