Polyverse and PlayNetwork Announce Strategic Cybersecurity Partnership

Polyverse Corporation and PlayNetwork today announced their partnership to secure PlayNetwork's CURIOPlayer Z8 and API platform using Polyverse's Moving Target (News - Alert) Defense (MTD) cybersecurity product. Polyverse's MTD solution, the Polyverse polymorphic version of Linux, is the only cybersecurity product proven by the U.S. Department of Defense to stop 100 percent of zero-day memory exploits.

"Polyverse delivers a superior security product that we can quickly and easily deploy across thousands of PlayNetwork devices," said Josh Thomas, SVP of Technology for PlayNetwork. "I will sleep easier at night with the knowledge that PlayNetwork's critical infrastructure and network of devices in the field are protected by Polyverse's Moving Target Defense solution and supported by the Polyverse team of experts."

Through the relationship, PlayNetwork will implement Polyverse's MTD solution on the PlayNetwork CURIOPlayer Z8 and within PlayNetwork's API platform to ensure security and prevent zero-day memory exploits.

"The Polyverse and PlayNetwork collaboration demonstrates a Moving Target Defense cybersecurity solution for IoT that stands up to zero-day attacks and removes the need for reactive, panic patching-saving time, money, and downtime in IT operations," said Polyverse Corporation Founder and CEO Alex Gounares. "We are thrilled to secure PlayNetwork's CURIOPlayer Z8 and the PlayNetwork's API platform in a way that preserves PlayNetwork's device efficiencies and leaves the user experience unchanged."

The collaoration between PlayNetwork and Polyverse will secure:

  • CURIOPlayer Z8: a compact, Linux-based media player that securely stores and deploys music in business locations. Polyverse's polymorphic version of Linux provides the simple and easy to use protection that this media player requires to ensure secure operation on PlayNetwork customer networks.
  • CURIO APIs: the core of PlayNetwork's technology and critical to the brands that PlayNetwork serves. The modern, open platform of microservices will leverage polymorphic Linux to further increase defense against malicious attacks and zero-day exploits.
