Fourth Annual E-Discovery Day to Take Place on December 4, 2018

Portland, OR, June 27, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Exterro® Inc., the preferred provider of software specifically designed for in-house legal and IT teams at Global 2000 and AmLaw 200 organizations, along with 15 other supporting organizations representing media, educational, and e-discovery businesses, today announced the fourth annual E-Discovery Day which will take place on December 4, 2018. Traditionally, E-Discovery Day has been held on December 1st, but with that day falling on a Saturday this year, supporters have agreed to move it to the following Tuesday.

E-Discovery Day was started in 2015 as a way for the e-discovery industry to come together to celebrate the vital and growing role that e-discovery plays in the legal process. It is an industry-wide, vendor neutral celebration that includes in-person educational and networking events, online webinars, CLE opportunities, white papers, social media conversation, and more. In 2017, more than 2000 e-discovery and legal professionals celebrated E-Discovery Day in 15 educational online webinars and 13 in-person events around the United States. In addition, #eDiscoveryDay reached over 683,000 people on Twitter.

“2018 Is gearing up to be the biggest E-Discovery Day celebration yet. We are excited to work wth the 15 other supporting organizations to bring together the legal community to celebrate and bring more awareness to the importance of e-discovery. We encourage more organizations in the e-discovery space to join the list of supporters in this industry-wide day,” said Bill Piwonka, CMO at Exterro.

“E-discovery education continues to be extremely important, and E-Discovery Day provides a unique opportunity for e-discovery professionals to come together to learn from their peers while also celebrating the important work they do in the legal community,” said Jim Waldron, Director, EDRM, Center for Judicial Studies at Duke Law.

“ACEDS is looking forward to our community-wide celebration of practice, connection and service,” said Mary Mack, Executive Director at ACEDS.
