AbacusNext Announces Collaboration with San Diego Workforce Partnership During Inauguration of New Corporate Headquarters

SAN DIEGO, June 26, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AbacusNext®, the largest Technology-as-a-Service (TaaS) provider for the professional services sector, capped off a year of unprecedented growth by announcing their participation in the San Diego Workforce Partnership’s TechHire initiative as part of their effort to further boost recruitment and fuel future expansion plans. The announcement came during the Grand Opening event celebrating their new 65,000 square-foot corporate headquarters.

“San Diego’s highly-skilled workforce, global reach and world-renowned quality of life make it an ideal launchpad for innovative start-ups and tech companies like AbacusNext,” said Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer. “Congratulations to AbacusNext for choosing to expand here in America’s Finest City. We look forward to the new headquarters spurring more local jobs and contributing to your continued success.”

In the last year AbacusNext has expanded globally, more than doubling its staff and diversifying its product offerings to become the most complete technology provider to the professional services industry. That growth shows no signs of stopping, spurring AbacusNext to the join the San Diego Workforce Partnership’s TechHire initiative in order to hit their aggressive hiring target of over one hundred new positions in the next year.

“AbacusNext’s commitment to building homegrown talent makes them an invaluable partner in creating an opportunity pipeline for our region’s young people. We are excited to partner with them on providing work experiences for talented individuals from non-traditional backgrounds through TechHire,” said San Diego Worforce Partnership CEO Peter Callstrom. “Creating opportunity for all is possible when the public and private sectors collaborate as AbacusNext has been willing to do with our organization. We look forward to seeing what we can do together.”

Former Mayor of San Diego and current President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce, Jerry Sanders, was on hand to inaugurate AbacusNext’s beautiful new three-story, 65,000 square-foot building in La Jolla UTC. Sanders’ presence has become something of a tradition for AbacusNext, the former Mayor having presided over the grand openings of each of their previous office spaces over the last five years.

“Extraordinary companies are nothing more than the extraordinary people that come to work every day and turn their dreams into reality,” said Alessandra Lezama, CEO of AbacusNext. “The opening of our new corporate headquarters marks a major milestone in the history of our company and the fulfilment of a dream we’ve been working toward since I started here almost five years ago.”

“In that time, we’ve grown from less than 30 employees to over 500, spread across six offices in three countries,” continued Lezama. “As successful as we’ve been in recent years, we’re setting our sights even higher, and we’re proud to be partnering with San Diego Workforce and the TechHire initiative to further expand our San Diego operations and propel the next stage of our incredible growth.”
