Insight School of Oregon-Painted Hills to Celebrate Class of 2018Insight School of Oregon-Painted Hills (ISOR-PH), an AdvancED accredited online public charter school, will celebrate the Class of 2018 with an in-person graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 16, at 1 p.m. at the University of Portland's Buckley Center. More than 50 students will graduate from ISOR-PH, an innovative middle and high school option for college and technical career-minded students throughout the state. The school offers traditional academic subjects, as well as two career-focused tracks for students: business and healthcare. Successful completion of these courses helps students prepare for industry certification tests after graduation. ISOR-PH students have completed their academics online and developed friendships virtually, and graduation provides an opportunity for them to celebrate together. The schooloffers student clubs and social events, but many of the students will be meeting in person for the first time. "The Class of 2018 is ready to use the skills they've gained here at Insight School of Oregon-Painted Hills to make an impact in their communities," said Timothy Jalkanen, ISOR-PH head of school. "Whether they are heading to college to joining the workforce, these students are set up for success." Graduating seniors Kiauna Hemenway, Christi Bursick, Makayla Bennett and Trinity Card will address their classmates. Jalkanen, principal Kristy Mize (News - Alert) and school board member Rose M.
