Ameriprise Financial Brings Together 4,000 Volunteers to Feed Hungry Families and Individuals

On June 15, more than 4,000 Ameriprise Financial, Inc. (NYSE: AMP) employees, advisors and clients will work together to provide food for families and individuals in need. The volunteers will prepare, sort and serve meals at over 200 company-sponsored events across the country in an effort to help the 41 million Americans, including nearly 13 million children and five million seniors, struggling with hunger.

"People who are food insecure often have to make the difficult choice between food, medical bills, housing and other necessities," said Brian Pietsch, head of community relations at Ameriprise. "And families who lose access to subsidized school lunch programs during the summer can face even more pressure to make ends meet. This hunger gap is a reality for far too many Americans, and that's why we're so humbled to be able to do our part to help."

Ameriprise is a longstanding supporter of domestic hunger-relief efforts through its nine-year partnership with Feeding America^®, the nation's largest hunger-relief organization.
