ThreatQuotient Named One of Greater Washington's Best Places to Work in 2018

ThreatQuotient, a trusted threat intelligence platform innovator, today announced that the Washington Business Journal has recognized them as one of the best places to work in the Greater Washington area for 2018, and the only small cybersecurity company to be listed. The 12th Annual Best Places to Work program was the largest yet, receiving a record 423 nominations for just 100 spots on the list. The region's leading employers, companies ranging from small to extra large that scored highest on the Quantum (News - Alert) Workplace employee engagement survey, were honored on May 17, 2018 at a special awards event at MGM National Harbor.

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Reston, Virginia, ThreatQuotient has grown rapidly from two founders to almost 100 employees globally. It is at the home office where ThreatQuotient cultivates its approach to building a company culture focused on being more than a place of employment, which spreads to team members based in Maryland, the UK, France, Germany, Australia, and working remote in many other locations across the world. The company's leadership have a long and proven track record not only with security startups, but also building winning company cultures and bringing the right people on board. ThreatQuotient's employees have diverse pofessional and personal backgrounds and all work together to advance the company vision and mission.

"People join ThreatQuotient to do something special, and to work with the best in the business. In a few short years, we have become more than just a startup - we have created a community that is part of each employee's identity, and a group that chooses to spend time with each other," says John Czupak, President and CEO of ThreatQuotient. "I am proud to be part of this company and thank every one of my fellow team members for continuing to make us a best place to work, not just in the Washington region, but around the globe. We look forward to maintaining our status as both a best place to work and a top cybersecurity company and finding new ways to help our employees grow and develop!"

Every year, the Washington Business Journal looks for companies that create enjoyable and meaningful work environments for their employees, judging the nominees on a multitude of factors such as employee retention, trust in leadership and with co-workers, personal engagement and feeling valued, and many more. Committed to going above and beyond these standards, working at ThreatQuotient features local craft beer tasting Thursdays, naming software projects after video games that are played in the office by everyone from interns to the CEO, and a group lunch brought in once a week. But on any given day, you can find a large group gathered around a communal table, laughing and often sharing a homemade meal or treat.

The rhino is also a central part of the company's identity and culture, serving as the startup's logo and making up much of the Reston office décor. A stuffed baby rhino arrives at the desk of all new employees, no matter where they are in the world. The company's weekly internal newsletter, the Rhino Reader, contains important news, calls out employee milestones and achievements, lists birthdays and anniversaries, and more. Employee and team successes are celebrated with the banging of a gong etched with a large rhino, and one of the founders can often be spotted wearing a rhino onesie during company events while musically inclined employees perform together and entertain the team as the 'Crash Band'. Appreciation for rhinos extends far outside the office as well - ThreatQuotient recently adopted a baby rhino, Lesego, from the Rhino Orphanage in South Africa who rescued him from poachers.

ThreatQuotient's culture is still growing and evolving, and aims to foster a camaraderie that can't be found anywhere else. To learn more out about current career opportunities at ThreatQuotient, please visit https://www.threatq.com/company/careers/.
