Former Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis to Deliver Cyber Security Keynote at Continuum Navigate 2018

Continuum®, the exclusive provider of the only service-enabled technology platform that enables MSPs to scale rapidly and profitably, announced today that its fifth annual user conference, Navigate 2018, will feature a keynote address by leading security consultant and former Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis. The keynote will focus on lessons Davis has learned from 30 years of managing crisis and how they translate to the cyber threat, at a time of growing concern of cybercrime for businesses.

In Boston, where this year's Navigate will take place, and across the country, Davis is best known for his leadership and service as Boston Police Commissioner, particularly as he led the department through the investigation and aftermath of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. After retiring from his position as Commissioner, Davis founded Edward Davis, LLC, a security consulting firm that operates at the intersection of physical security and technology, and has consulted for major corporations and public entities such as John Hancock, Uber, The Boston Globe and the Boston Red Sox.

"One of the biggest draws of Navigate for our partners is the opportunity to learn from some of the industry's most respected figures on issues that matter most to their businesses and their clients," said Michael George, CEO, Continuum. "Security is the single biggest issue facing businesses today, and Ed Davis' experience and qualifications make him an ideal speaker on the subject at this year's event. We're honored and pleased to have him join us this September in Boston, a city close to all our hearts, to share his expertise and guidance on the threats facing businessesfrom the world of cybercrime."

Davis' presence as keynote speaker will have added weight for Navigate 2018, where over 800 IT service providers are expected to convene to uncover new insights for their small and medium business clients, particularly on the impact of cybercrime. The keynote will be one of the headline events at the company's annual user conference, which will take place on September 24-27, 2018 at Boston's Seaport Hotel & World Trade Center with a packed program designed to empower growth-minded service providers to discover the skills, solutions and tools to define their path to success.

"Small businesses are some of the most vulnerable targets to cybercriminals today, and their IT service providers stand at the front lines when it comes to protecting them against security threats," said Ed Davis. "That's why I'm glad to have the opportunity on Continuum's Navigate 2018 stage. I look forward to welcoming some of the industry's leading providers to Boston, as we share some unique and critical insights into what these businesses need, and what those providers can do, to deter attacks."

This year's Navigate will follow the resounding success of 2017's event in Las Vegas, Nevada, which reached new heights with over 700 attendees, more than 80 speakers across four tracks and insightful keynote speakers. As of today, Continuum partners can take advantage of Early Bird tickets and attend for $799, more than $100 below the regular price of $900. The Early Bird price will be available to attendees until June 30, 2018, and regular registration will be open until the event sells out.
