Fuze Expands Okta Integration to Power Greater Enterprise Productivity and Security

Fuze, the leading cloud-based communications solution provider for the modern global enterprise, today announced a new SCIM integration with Okta, the leading independent provider of identity for the enterprise. Unveiled today at Oktane18, Fuze is further enhancing its unified collaboration platform offering, creating a seamless admin experience that simplifies the onboarding and provisioning process, ensuring new users are enabled quickly and changes are handled efficiently.

Combining the strengths of two cloud leaders to power modern, secure digital communications, Fuze brings the leading identity and device management tool for cloud and mobile enterprises to its enterprise customers. In addition to SSO capabilities, the new SCIM integration will also enable Fuze customers to streamline user administration by providing the company with Active Directory (AD or LDAP) integration or access to Okta's own universal directory.

As organizations grow and transform, so does their workforce. Through this integration, Fuze automatically syncs with directories on changes to user names, location, departments, and entitlements. It also automates provisioning and de-provisioning, so administrative users can move, add, change, and delete from within their preferred directory. As more organizations move lifecycle management to HR, the Fuze and Okta integration enables these same processes to be initiated across multiple enterprise applications such as Kronos (News - Alert), UltiPro, Namely, and more.

The partnership enhances the Fuze platform's existing single sign-on (SSO) feature and powers more secure identity management capabilities, making it easy for users to log in to Fuze using SSO with existing enterprise credentials, as well as update user profile and account information.

"Enterprises are searching for ways to help teams better manage information across business applications and, in turn, help mployees be as productive as possible," said Derek Yoo, Chief Product Officer, Fuze. "In today's digital workplace, the new normal in enabling the workforce requires giving teams the tools they need to work and collaborate effectively. With this integration, we are delivering simple, seamless, and secure experiences for our enterprise customers."

"At WeddingWire, communication and collaboration are vital to connect our more than 450 employees in five offices across multiple geographies," said Andy Poirier, Sr. IT Engineer, WeddingWire. "The Fuze-Okta partnership has allowed us to quickly meet the needs of our dynamic digital workforce. Beyond single sign-on, the new SCIM integration enables us to bring new employees on board quickly by automatically creating and activating Fuze platform access for new users with a marked reduction in IT intervention."

Fuze's unified communication platform already combines voice, chat, video, and content sharing into a single platform. With the addition of Okta, Fuze is making it even easier for users to connect from anywhere and on any device using a common login. In its 2018 Businesses @ Work report, Okta found that companies are using a growing number of apps, with the median number of apps used in the enterprise increasing 24 percent from 2015 to 2017. Okta's SSO feature delivers a more seamless user experience regardless of the number of cloud applications deployed within an organization. According to Gartner (News - Alert)1, "SSO is one of the few technologies that enables developers and administrators to balance usability with security."

"Communications tools like Fuze are one of those key technologies workers need access to from day one, which is why IT teams need to be able to get their workers up and running more quickly and securely," said Patrick McCue, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Partners, Okta. "With this new integration, we're making it easier for IT to on- and off-board their users on Fuze, simplifying the login experience for workers, and securing the connections between people and apps - so they can hit the ground running right away."

Fuze will also be using Okta's new Sign In with Okta functionality as a SAML replacement for its Okta integration.
