Boxlight Announces Exclusive Partnership with Multi Touch Interactives

Boxlight Corporation (Nasdaq: BOXL), a leading provider of interactive technology solutions for the global education market, today announced it has signed an exclusive, global agreement with Multi Touch Interactives (MTI (News - Alert)), an international software development company, to create the next generation of interactive educational activities for large format, horizontal and vertical classroom-based touchscreens.

Effective immediately, MTI will begin developing activities designed for early elementary and special needs education, and intends to have a solid and versatile platform onto which rich, educational collaborative applications will be built for many years to come. The apps will run exclusively for, and in, the Windows 10 environment and will be designed and produced sequentially, while allowing educators to create their own or modify existing activities.

MTI is headed up by interactive software veterans, Nigel Pearce and Peter Lambert, who both have extensive experience in the field of educational software development and were instrumental in the initial development of ActivStudio and ActivPrimary; the forerunners to the ActivInspire software offering at Promethean. Lambert is excited to work with Boxlight stating, "Nigel and I are both committed to developing the next generation of multi-touch software, encouraging student collaboration while both learning and reinforcing essential skills."

Boxlight's software development partnership with MTI brings rich interactive content that integrates with Boxlight's MimioStudio™ content developmnt, presentation, assessment, and collaboration software to enhance the instructional process. The MTI activities will shine on the Boxlight ProColor touch table, a height-adjustable, 49-inch 4K display that supports 20 simultaneous touches allowing students, the teacher, or a teacher's aide to work together or independently-personalizing learning and instruction.

"I have a long-standing relationship with these outstanding edtech pioneers and we are delighted to welcome Peter and Nigel to the Boxlight family," said Mark Elliott, chief executive officer of Boxlight. "Their vision and early work to create the first interactive lessons, activities and engagement tools is second to none and we can't wait to infuse their new interactive software activities into our award-winning solutions to help increase collaboration and inspire teachers to engage students in modern-day classrooms."
