Press Ganey Supports Nursing Education

Press Ganey today announced its commitment to the professional development of nurses with its ongoing contribution to the Press Ganey - Thomas O. Pyle Fellowship in Nursing Fund. This investment in the Boston College Connell School of Nursing provides future nurse leaders with access to excellence in nursing education and learning experiences that foster the delivery of patient-centered care.

Through this fund, fellowships are awarded each year to talented masters or doctoral nursing students, whose studies are devoted to oncology, endocrinology or other medical specialties.

"We remain dedicated to supporting nurse education through our gift to the Press Ganey - Pyle Fellowship in Nursing Fund," said Patrick T. Ryan, CEO, Press Ganey. "As front-line caregivers, nurses are essential in ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. It is a privilege to support these committed individuals who share Press Ganey's mission to reduce patient suffering by improving the delivery of care."

The Press Ganey - Thomas O. Pyle Fellowship in Nursing Fund pays tribute to the late Thomas Pyle, one of the original founders of Harvard Community Health Plan, and acknowledges his innovative role in transforming the practice o medicine. Originally established in 2007 by Patrick T. Ryan, the fund was renamed in 2013 to recognize Press Ganey's support of this initiative.

Through its contributions, Press Ganey has provided life-changing support to 27 graduate nursing students, enabling them to pursue their dreams to contribute to the field of nursing and improve the health of patients and their families.

"We are grateful for Press Ganey's support of our students' education and our shared commitment to the delivery of exceptional health care," said Susan Gennaro, Dean of Boston College Connell School of Nursing. "This fund not only honors the outstanding contributions that Thomas Pyle made to the delivery of patient care, but also demonstrates how collaboration between the business and education sectors can benefit nursing students and the patients they will ultimately serve."
