STATS Named Official Data Provider for the BIG3Today, STATS (News - Alert), the worldwide leader in sports data and intelligence, announced a two-year contract to become the official data provider for the BIG3, the professional 3-on-3 basketball league featuring a host of former NBA stars. STATS will collect in-game data and provide live updates for the 2018 and 2019 BIG3 seasons through its up-to-the-second data feeds, which Northwestern University have validated as the fastest and most accurate in the industry. The BIG3, co-founded by producer, actor and music legend Ice Cube and entertainment executive Jeff Kwatinetz, is entering its second season after successfully debuting the league in 2017. STATS will collect and distribute BIG3 data throughout the 10-week season from June 22-Aug. 24. BIG3 games are played every Friday night, with each of the league's eight teams playing from the ame venue. Regular-season games will be played at NBA arenas in Houston, Chicago, Oakland, Detroit, Miami, Toronto, Boston and Atlanta, with the playoffs being held in Dallas, culminating in the championship game at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Games will be broadcast to a national audience, with six sets of games appearing on FS1 and four showing on FOX. Fans also can stream games through the FOX Sports GO app. Tickets for all 10 cities are on sale, and can be purchased at BIG3.com.
