A partnership between the C. T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Public Health will deliver health care leadership and management training across Texas.

Bauer College Executive Education Director Gary Randazzo said the partnership will provide continuing education opportunities for a wide range of health care industry careers.

"UTHealth School of Public Health and Bauer College of Business formed this partnership due to the interest in and the need for business and administrative training for clinical, professional and administrative staffs in health care facilities," Randazzo said.

He added: "UTHealth School of Public Health is known for the highest quality training for clinical hospital leadership. For years, their programs have focused on quality delivery of health care in complex settings. Bauer College excels in providing superior training for all business disciplines. As a partnership, the UTHealth School of Public Health-Bauer health care programs will provide a robust program for the development of all levels of health care professionals. The partnership will also allow the ability to provide customized programs for hospitals and health care facilities throughout Texas."

Open enrollment programs will be offered to the public throughout the year for the Health Care Management Certificate, with classes including analytics for decision-making, health care-specific accounting and finance, strategy and innovation, supply chain management and others. This partnersip will allow healthcare providers across Texas access to desired leadership training without extensive travel," said Lee Revere, Ph.D. director of the George McMillan Fleming Center for Healthcare Management at UTHealth School of Public Health.

Additionally, classes for leaders and managers in the health care industry will be offered as custom programs for organizations designed to fit specific needs.
