Worldnet Completes First EMV Level 3 Certification of ID TECH's VP8300 to First Data

Worldnet, a leading provider of omni-channel payment solutions and ID TECH, the global leader in payment peripheral technology have completed the first EMV Level 3 certification through First Data for ID TECH's new VP8300 countertop payment solution. The VP8300 incorporates secure MagStripe, EMV chip card, and EMV contactless payment technologies such as MasterCard (News - Alert) PayPass, Visa PayWave as well as ApplePay and GooglePay.

With the certification, Worldnet provides ISVs (independent software vendors) with a pre-certified payment path to EMV compliance. Working with Worldnet, ISVs can reduce the typical lead time to develop and certify an EMV compliant POS solution from many months to a matter of days.

The Worldnet Omnichannel Payment Platform supports ID TECH's EMV products, including the VP8300, a customer-facing countertop reader that ensures all magnetic stripe, EMV, and contactless transactions are encrypted and secure before data is transmitted to the host device.
