Main Street Softworks Adds Support for Bluefin's Decryptx® PCI-validated P2PE "Decryption as a Service"

GAINESVILLE, Fla. and ATLANTA, April 12, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Main Street Softworks, Inc. and Bluefin Payment Systems today announced a partnership for Main Street's Monetra® payment server software to include an interface to Bluefin’s Decryptx® PCI-validated Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) product, providing an “off the shelf” method for payment gateway operators using the Monetra payment server software to deliver PCI-validated P2PE payment processing solutions.

The new interface enables a Monetra payment server to directly connect to Bluefin's Decryptx Decryption as a Service (DaaS) offering, which provides the validated P2PE services. Credit and debit card transactions are secured by encrypting all data within a PCI-approved point of entry device, preventing clear-text cardholder data from being available in the device or the merchant’s system where it could be exposed to malware.

With the Decryptx service, Bluefin decrypts the cipher text within its secure HSM environment and sends the PAN and track data back over an encrypted connection, for processing as usual. Bluefin also handles all aspects of device management, chain of custody and customer support, and provides its clients access to an online P2PE management system that simplifies laborious tasks such as annual audits.

According to Main Street's vice president of sales, Steve Cook, “Man merchants today are seeking validated P2PE payment processing solutions. Our partnership with Bluefin provides an easy way for Level-1 validated service providers using the Monetra payment server software to deploy validated P2PE solutions without the burden and up-front cost of developing and validating in-house systems, and entitles the operator to be sub-listed by the PCI Security Standards Council as a validated P2PE solution provider.”

“We are pleased to provide Main Street's payment gateway partners the ability to extend the security, cost reduction and PCI compliance scope reduction benefits of Bluefin’s P2PE solution directly to their merchant customers,” said Greg Cornwell SVP, Sales at Bluefin. “We created this program around the P2PE 2.0 standard, which componentized a solution into a subset of services. This approach enables providers like Bluefin to offer individually listed components of the overall solution,” he explained.
