Your Call Football Kicks off Preseason at Historic Dodgertown

Your Call Football (YCF), the gaming technology startup behind the innovative, fan-controlled, live play-calling game, begins preseason today at Historic Dodgertown in Vero Beach, Fla. - just four weeks before fans, for the first time, get to call the offensive plays in real, live football games.

Out of the 80+ players, more than half have NFL experience and nearly 90 percent played at a Division 1 Bowl Subdivision program. Players will ultimately be placed on one of two teams - "Grit," which will be coached by MikeSherman, the former Green Bay Packers head coach and general manager, or "Power," which will be coached by former NFL running back and ESPN (News - Alert) analyst Merril Hoge.

With YCF, fans control the action on the field of a live, streamed football game - with near-zero latency. They vote on three coach-selected plays that Sherman and Hoge send via an iPad, then watch as the majority-voted play is executed live on the field by YCF's players. Points are accumulated based on play-calling skills, and fans are encouraged to initiate head-to-head competitions and leagues with their friends for the chance to win YCF cash prizes.

In addition to Meachem and Pierce, some of the other former NFL players on the roster include QB BJ Daniels, QB Jerrod Johnson, DT Ashaad Mabry, LB Greg Lloyd Jr., TE Evan Rodriguez, OT Vincent Brown, CB Khalid Wooten, RB Cyrus Gray, DT Micanor Regis, LB Will Smith and RB Kenny Hilliard.
