Toronto-based start-up encourages sustainable and local economy with BTZ

TORONTO, April 9, 2018 /CNW/ - Bunz, the online barter and community building zone, today launches BTZ (Bunz Trading Zone, pronounced 'bits'), a cryptocurrency with immediate, real world use. This marks the first time a Canadian company will launch a cryptocurrency to an established, engaged community of users, who can easily use the token as soon as it launches. Above and beyond using the token to trade within the app, Bunz has partnered with more than 100 local bricks and mortar food, beverage and retail locations to accept BTZ in exchange for goods and services.

As of today, anyone with the latest version of the Bunz app, as well as all new downloads, will receive 1000 BTZ, though there is a finite amount of BTZ to be distributed. Early adopters and active app users will be rewarded for engaging with the app from the beginning - they will be able to earn BTZ by actively contributing to community growth, through posting items for trade that receive many views, sharing the Bunz app with their networks, or watching educational videos about BTZ.
