"We are proud that Madeleine is being recognized for her leadership and innovation, as she continues to drive value for Accenture's clients every day," said Bill Morris, senior managing director and Canada president, Accenture. "We congratulate all the finalists, who are stewards of the strong business community in Quebec, as we share their passion for innovation, leadership and high performance."

Winners will be announced April 19 at the Les Mercuriades gala at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal.

A seasoned consultant with 25 years of experience, Chenette is responsible for expanding Accenture's business presence in Quebec, focusing on bringing innovation to clients, attracting top talent and strengthening the company's impact in the Quebec community. She also leads Accenture's retail, consumer goods and transport industry practices in Quebec. Chenette was named among Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 in 2012 by the Women's Executive Network, and she has twice been recognized by the Association of Quebec Women in Finance, in 2011 and 2013.

Chenette has a simple message for all young women who aspire to become a leader: "We will reinvent tomorrow starting today. The role of women remains a fragile one. Talent is abundant in society and we are all unique. Know who you are, use your talent, use it well, and shine."

Accenture last week announced that women now account for 41 percent of its global workforce, up from just under 40 percent in June 2017, when the company first announced its goal of achieving a gender-balanced workforce by 2025 worldwide. Accenture currently has more than 170,000 women in its total workforce, and in Canada women represent 43 percent of its total workforce and 30 percent of executive-level roles.
