Dcode calling on enterprise tech to go after $210M government IT modernization budget

WASHINGTON, March 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- In 2011, the White House released the Cloud First Policy, a policy intended to accelerate the pace at which the Federal Government realizes the value of Cloud Computing. While progress has been made, the recent Modernizing Government Technology Act helps to highlight that there is still plenty of work to do.

Dcode, a government-focused technology accelerator, announced today a stage-agnostic accelerator program for cloud computing and enterprise software companies that can drive the government's modernization efforts forward. The program aims to increase the speed and success at which government adopts these emerging technologies. But Dcode's efforts aren't just reserved for the IT Modernization budget alone. The entire federal government - which spends over $90B on IT - stands to benefit from these technologies.

"Cloud computing was the first true paradigm shift in technology for government since the advent of the inernet," said Meagan Metzger, CEO of Dcode. "The federal government's ability to migrate to a provisioned model of computing and software is paramount to cost savings and scale in across government."

Dcode's selective three-month program will provide 6-10 companies with expert-led go-to-market strategic planning that covers key insights and guidance for entering the federal market. The program also includes meetings with over 30 federal agencies and 100 industry experts, who guide participating companies through the unique federal technology market.

Dcode is looking for companies that provide products and applications in enterprise software, enterprise applications, cloud infrastructure, cloud data services, cloud storage, cloud management and cloud security.

Dcode's cohort program is stage-agnostic. It is designed for two types of companies. Those with some traction in the federal market but still in the early stages of standing up a government practice and is seeking to scale. And also companies with established commercial success that are completely new to the federal government and looking to go-to-market quickly.

The application deadline is April 10, 2018. Companies can apply at dcode.co/apply or find more information at dcode.co/faq.
