OutSystems Named a Top Cloud Computing Employer by Forbes Three Years in a Row

OutSystems, provider of the number one low-code development platform, has been ranked one of the top ten cloud computing companies to work for in 2018 by Forbes for the third consecutive year.

"Why did Forbes rate us as a top employer again? It's our culture," said Paulo Rosado, CEO of OutSystems. "We have a company filled with innovative, smart, and fun people who want to change the world. It's not about a job. It's about a passion for-no, an obsession with- being part of something really big."

The OutSystems culture has often been recognized as key to its success. Even with record-breaking growth of 63 percent annual recurring revenue, hiring more than 200 employees last year, and opening new offices in Japan, Germany, and Australia, the company holds fast to its core values outlined in the Small Book of the Few Big Rules.

"The Small Book of Rules is our company culture manifesto," said Carlos Alves, Chief People Officer at OutSystems. "It's a fun guide to how we all want to work and be treated as people. It covers concepts like going out of your way to be helpful, asking why, and always challenging the status quo."

Challenging the status quo is ingrained in OutSystems culture. In 2017, the company released more than 60 product updates. Just this month, OutSystems announced its latest artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) initiative called Project Turing, to explore how AI and ML can transform the world of software development. This is just the kind of innovation that inspires employees to exceed customer expectations.

Customer growth and company culture go hand in hand at OutSystems. In 2017, delighted customers voted OutSystems as the number one low-code development platform on peer review sites including Peer Insights, G2Crowd, and TrustRadius.

"It's great to see how our culture of innovation inspires our customers," said Mike Lambert (News - Alert), Chief Revenue Officer at OutSystems. "We added over 275 enterprise customers last year and 50,000 new developers who are transforming their businesses with our product. That's pretty cool."

The Forbes report starts with CRN's coolest cloud platform vendors, then looks to Glassdoor for the number of employees who would recommend the company to a friend and the percentage of employees who approve of their CEO.
