Leading Canadian Home Builder Will Use Promapp BPM Software to Grow Operations

Alberta-based Porchlight Developments, a leader in the multi-family development and building industry, plans to deploy Promapp's cloud-based business process management (BPM) software as part of their strategic plan to enhance organizational clarity and improve their customers' experience.

Porchlight, which builds medium-density townhomes and mid-rise wood-frame properties catering to the entry, move down, and rental market segments, will use Promapp's BPM tool to take a more disciplined approach to business process management and improve communication across jobsite locations in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.

Implementing Promapp's BPM software will also "enable Porchlight's client care department to provide a better customer experience, and will give employees a greater understanding of their purpose within the organization," says Porchlight COO Jim Weigel.

Weigel explains, "Promapp's BPM tool will help us to prioritize effective communication at Porchlight so our people can access information in one easy-to-find place within the organization. This will help to guide the team's decisions and actions as we focus on continuous improvement, and show our team, partners, and customers that we care."

Although Porchlight reviewed several different BPM tools, the decision to use Promapp was an easy one, according to Weigel. "When we looked at Promapp, we immediately recognized that its ease of use and ability to help us communicate better would be an easy sell for our busy executives, all of whom appreciate efficiency. We also really liked the add-on features and visual aspects of Promapp's software."

Porchlight Developments is one of Promapp's latest North American clients. In recent months, Promapp has added California-based construction copany Pankow Builders, Michigan State University's Infrastructure Planning and Facilities (IPF) Group, Satori Consulting, Maryland-based interior design firm Builders Design, and GCM Inc., a leader in precision-manufactured components and assemblies for the medical, energy, transportation, and aerospace markets.

Promapp was recently recognized as one of five Hot Vendors in Business Process Management in a report prepared by Aragon Research. The report, which highlights providers with interesting, cutting-edge products, services, and technology, notes, "Promapp's secret sauce is its ability to be easy enough for beginners and business teams to be successful pretty quickly. The collaborative nature is a key feature, along with the ability to manage change and process variants."

About Porchlight Developments

The Porchlight story begins in 2008. Having residential development and building industry experience of nearly 20 years each, Rob Butler and Neil Braun each started their own companies. The two of them collaborated together on a couple of projects and very quickly discovered they had different, but very complementary strengths. It was, however, the underlying principles they shared that forged the partnership: the importance of innovative design to enhance the home owners' living experience; the strength of an empowered dedicated trusted team; a true appreciation for the corporate relationships essential for success; and, perhaps most important, the prerequisite of integrity. Now with several years behind them and over 2,000 homes completed, Porchlight is positioned strongly for the future. www.myporchlight.ca/
