Xplore Rugged Tablets Enable Leading Professional Kitchen Installer to Execute Aggressive Growth Strategy

AUSTIN, Texas, Feb. 13, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Xplore Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:XPLR) today announced that 3C Compétence Cuisine Collective (3C), a leading installer of professional kitchen equipment in France, has significantly improved the efficiency and effectiveness of its maintenance operations since equipping all field service technicians with Xplore F5 and XSLATE B10 rugged tablets. Not only has 3C has reduced its equipment breakdown resolution time from an average of 2 weeks to 4.5 days, the uptick in customer satisfaction since moving to a more mobile information system has led to an influx of new preventative service contracts and maintenance department hiring spree. The company actually credits the Xplore mobility solution for the 52% growth it experienced in the four years immediately following their implementation of the rugged tablets.

“With the Xplore rugged tablet in hand, our technicians gain a global view of their customers’ history, current needs and future requirements. They finally have the tools and insights to personally see a project through from start to completion,” noted said Jean-Philippe Edom, director of information systems & logistics, 3C. “Plus, they are empowered to propose new contracts that are more preventive than curative, resulting in the creation of new positions within the company. This not only enables us to collectively improve our market position, but it enables us to better manage our internal resources for a rise in new market demands.

The information mobility and real-time issue resolution tools provided by Xplore rugged tablets have also enabled 3C to improve its customer relationships. While all work orders are still triggered by a call from a maintenance contract customer, all subsequent paper-based actions have been replaced by a more automated and completely digital rugged tablet-based workflow. The activity manager can now direct the request for intervention in real time to the right person according to certain criteria, including the worker's technical skill level, the type of inoperable equipment (hot/cooking or cold/storage) and the history of the equipment that needs to be serviced. 3C dispatchers can also identify the geolocation of both the customer and each field technician immediately. This has made it easier to send the right technician, based on physical proximity, to the right place in a much faster manner.

“Companies across many industries are seeing the need to transition away from paper-based workflows to improve their operation efficiency and improve customer loyalty,” added John Graff, vice president of marketing, Xplore. “As you can see from 3C’s experience, the only effective way to manage and, thus, improve customer response perations is by adopting a mobility solution that can make your field-based workers smarter about every aspect of their job. The more information they can access on-site regarding the customer’s background and equipment, the more proficient they will be in resolving current issues and preventing new ones from arising in the future. 3C is proof that such proactivity is invaluable in a competitive market.”
