Sumdog and Clever announce partnership to give time back to educators and studentsSAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The highly engaging numeracy and literacy platform, Sumdog, has announced a partnership with Clever to provide seamless rostering and single sign-on integrations for students and teachers across the country. Sumdog is already being used in more than 20% of U.S. schools. Half of U.S. K-12 schools and more than 300 apps connect on Clever to automate data integrations with online learning apps and simplify the login process for students and teachers. Sumdog's mission is to eliminate the achievement gap by engaging all students in math and literacy. A key step in the mission is the agreement with Clever that allows them to offer the Clever single sign on integration at no cost with its free applications, opening up access to schools with the lowest budgets. Students can waste up to 15 minutes of class time trying to log in to their online learning programs. With the new single sign-on partnership, logging into Clever automatically logs students into Sumdog, so they can get straight into learning. Schools and districts using both Clever and Sumdog can also sign up for auto-rostering, allowing seamless automatic syncing of their class and teacher rosters, ensuring rosters are always up to date and dramatically cutting admin time for educators and administrators. Before full launch, Sumdog piloted the Clever integration with a select number of school districts, including School City of Mishawaka, IN. As part of the pilot, Sumdog set up single sign on and auto-rostering for 3,614 (K-8) students, 180 classes, 161 teachers and 9 schools. Curriculum Integration Specialist Caity Stokstell said, "We joined the pilot because a couple of schools in our district were using Sumdog, and the students and teachers all recommended it. Integrating with Clever allowed us to get Sumdog into all schools in the district, and the response has been amazing! The students love it, and the teachers love that they don't use up time logging in or doing admin. I have never met a class that did not love learning with Sumdog." "Partnering with Clever really helps us with our mission to close the achievement gap by helping every child reach their full potential," said Andrew Hall, Sumdog CEO. "We've designed our program to engage students and boost confidence, and are seeing real results. We recognize however how busy teaching and admin staff can be, so we want to help put time back in the hands of educators and students alike, to maximise our impact." Since the pilot program began in November 2017, Sumdog have already connected over 200,000 students in 264 schools across 20 districts. This partnership opens the doors to a potential 30 million students across the U.S. "Clever is proud to partner with Sumdog to allow all students access to math and literacy content at no-charge," says Ben Adida, VP of Engineering at Clever. "Together we are able to give all students seamless access via rostering and single sign-on and give back valuable time to teachers and admins." About Sumdog About Clever Christina Deogracias
