Avocados From Mexico Builds Near Perfect (Guac) World, Challenges America To Think Outside The Bowl During The Big Game

DALLAS, Jan. 31, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Avocados From Mexico constructs a seemingly perfect domed world, at least from the onset, with its :30 ad during the second quarter of the Super Bowl, airing February 4, 2018 on NBC. Back for its fourth consecutive appearance, the brand will celebrate one of football fans' favorite game-day snacks by reminding them that guacamole is more than just a dip, inspiring them to try avocados on more foods all-year long.

This year's spot, "GuacWorld," introduces a paradise where residents have virtually everything they've ever wanted -- serene music, unlimited massages, comedian Chris Elliott and limitless Avocados From Mexico. Sounds like pure bliss.  That's until the society's celebrated leader is met with a world-defining question, "where are the chips?" which apparently were left outside.

The mayhem that ensues is quickly quieted by a breakthrough revelation – avocados taste great on all kinds of foods, from hamburgers to salads to tacos and more.  While the society restores calm and realizes that avocados do in fact pair excellently with lots of things, one more BIG surprise causes chaos: the Wi-Fi is down.

While the people work themselves into a frenzied panic, actor and comedian Chris Elliott has a front-row seat throughout the mayhem.  "I love the concept of the ad that mankind has created its own wonderland," said Elliott.  "We all know that any Shangri-La isn't complete without Avocados From Mexico… and of course big time Hollywood actor Chris Elliott."

"We are especially excited to once again share our funny and lighthearted ad to the year's single largest television audience -  reaching so many of our consumers while they enjoy our product," said Alvaro Luque, presidnt of Avocados From Mexico. "Our ad is the centerpiece of our integrated marketing campaign focused on demonstrating the versatility of avocados.  Avocados From Mexico and guacamole are so good, we want consumers to enjoy them in almost limitless ways."

To bring the ad to life, the brand developed Guacworld.com, an immersive 360 digital experience. Social content across all key digital platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest directs users to visit the site, www.avocadosfrommexico.com/big-game/world/, where they can navigate and explore the one-of-a-kind features of the world. Additionally, the GuacWorld avocado emojis will be included in the apps Inmoji, Kik and Tango, giving the clickable imojes exposure to an over half billion users. Each location has its own theme and experiences, ranging from games, to recipe builders, exclusive video content, artwork, prizes and much more. Prizes range from limited-edition art prints, Avocados From Mexico for a year, and trips valued up to $5,000.

The brand, in partnership with Picmoji, also developed a first-to-market emoji experience called The Avo Picmoji that can be used in unprecedented ways across multiple platforms (iMessage, FB Messenger, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Android, Tango, Kik, etc.).

Avocados From Mexico partnered for the fourth year with Austin-based advertising agency GSD&M for creative strategy and production. Havas Media and Ro2Media are managing the media buy and execution of the Big Game spot. Dallas-based Richards-Lerma leads digital creative and social media strategy, while NYC-based Ketchum manages public relations.
