Uplevel Equips MSPs Serving Small Business to Deliver Enterprise-class Voice and Data without Upfront Cost

PORTLAND, Ore., Jan. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Uplevel Systems has added support for enterprise-class voice-over-IP (VoIP) to its SMB IT-as-a-Service platform to equip managed service providers (MSPs) to differentiate and grow revenues among small-to-medium business (SMB) clients. The addition of enterprise-class VoIP allows Uplevel resellers to deliver complete voice and data networking services and remote management on a pure subscription basis with no upfront capital investment by customers.

"At smaller companies, voice calls are often the most important IT business application and poor quality jeopardizes relationships with both customers and service providers," says Glenn Chagnot, co-founder of Uplevel. "Our solution makes it profitable for MSPs and IT consultants to manage clients' phone systems across one or more sites, add new revenues, and ensure high Quality of Service (QoS) without always having to go from site to site."

Uplevel's integrated MSP solution also supports LAN, Wi-Fi, storage, VPN, and network security services architected to meet the unique needs of companies with fewer than 20 employees. The new VoIP capabilities allow Uplevel MSP partners to deploy VoIP phones at one location or at multiple sites connected via a VPN, and have the voice and data infrastructure configure automatically. MSPs can enable premium features such as virtual phone umbers and unified messaging while retaining tight control over QoS policies to give voice calls priority.

"High-quality voice service is absolutely essential to serving the small business market," says Richard Schuman, Regional Channel Manager at Allworx, a Rochester, New York-based Uplevel technology partner.  "Uplevel shares our focus on helping MSPs unlock the profitability of the SMB market while bringing enterprise-class service to users challenged by consumer-grade budgets."

FNI Helps SMBs Improve Voice Quality

FNI, INC (Future Networking), a Portland, Oregon-based Uplevel reseller that provides managed voice and data services to several small local companies, has begun migrating clients to the Uplevel platform.

"The Uplevel solution lets us improve customers' call quality while easily and securely tying multiple locations together where needed," says John Cappuccio, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at FNI. "The ability to manage voice and data remotely from one system is an extremely compelling alternative to having to go from office to office troubleshooting a collection of standalone solutions."

SoundCurve, an Uplevel alliance partner, provides cloud-based voice and fax services through a subscription model aligned with Uplevel's. "Small companies really like the fact that they can upgrade the quality of their voice service using a cloud-based offering, without having to invest in new equipment," says Luigi Balsamo, COO at SoundCurve. "Working together with Uplevel makes it viable providers to roll out a high-quality voice and data solution for a small business with less cost and complexity for both customers and providers."
