(“Lumos Networks” or the “Company”), a leading fiber-based service provider in the Mid-Atlantic region signed a multi-year agreement to provide advanced fiber connectivity to the Roanoke Blacksburg Regional Airport.  Once installation is complete, Lumos Networks will be the first and only fiber provider into this Airport.

“We are excited to partner with Lumos Networks on our fiber optic network. The airport commission has specific needs from an enterprise and operational standpoint that Lumos took the time to understand and create a solution for,” said Bradley Boettcher, Director of Marketing and Air Service Development at Roanoke Blacksburg Regional Airport. “This project will allow us to be a more efficient organization and help create a better travel experience for our customers and improve productivity for our tenants.”

“We are pleased to announce our partnership with the Roanoke Blacksburg Regional Airport and we are excited to meet their needs for secure fiber connectivity,” said Timothy G. Robrt McAden, President and CEO of the Roanoke Blacksburg Technology Council said, “This is tremendous news not only for the airport and Lumos Networks, but for our entire region. Advanced fiber connectivity, like that being provided under this agreement, is a vital component of our ability to grow and attract companies.”
