(CES (News - Alert) 2018) Ayla Networks, a global leader in Internet of Things (IoT) platform-as-a-service (PaaS), has declared CES 2018 as the show to recognize the IoT's graduation from rising trend to core business driver for the consumer electronics industry. Through daily IoT educational workshops, evening happy hour panel discussions and networking sessions, and demos of real-world connected solutions in action, Ayla will allow CES 2018 attendees to explore how they might use IoT technologies, and the IoT data generated by connected products, to achieve real business value.

Ayla will also have a suite at the Palazzo Hotel, which will be the site for Ayla's IoT workshops, happy hour panel discussions and networking sessions, and private meetings.

IoT Workshops

Each day at CES 2018 (January 9 - 11), Ayla experts will conduct educational workshops at 10 am and 2 pm on the following topics:

  • Best Practices for IoT Security & Privacy. Designed to bring to light some key considerations for navigating the treacherous waters of IoT data security and data privacy, this workshop will address some of the most common security and privacy concerns associated with connected devices.
  • Maximizing IoT Business Value. While the IoT might appear as a shiny new opportunity full of promise and possibilities, the reality is that it will take time for IoT investments to translate into tangible benefits. Learn where the best chance for IoT return on investment (ROI) lies and how to achieve it.
  • The Importance of Interoperability in IoT. With so many players racing to capture the data-driven value of the IoT, the big question is how all the various devices, services and technologies will work together and interact to create the value.

The IoT workshops are free, but registration is required.

Happy Hour Panel Discussions and Networking Sessions

At 5:30 pm each day of CES 2018, attendees are invited to join Ayla and members of its IoT ecosystem for a happy hour panel discussion and networking opportunity. Panel discussion topics will be:

  • Internet of Things Success Stories with Amazon Alexa (Tuesday, Jan. 9)
  • Executive Fireside Chat - Why IoT? (Wednesday, Jan. 10)
  • The Journey to Success in the Internet of Things (Thursday, Jan. 11)

Panel discussions will be moderated by Ayla executives and will include representatives of Ayla's partner and customer companies. The happy hour sessions are free, but registration is required.
