Cutting Edge, Mobile-Responsive DMV Website Wins Gold Davey Award for Nebraska

The Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced its newly redesigned mobile-responsive DMV website in October and has now claimed a place in the winner's circle for Government Websites. The website was presented a Gold Davey Award by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts.

With nearly 4,000 entries from across the U.S. and around the world, the Davey Awards honor the finest creative work from the best small agencies, firms, and companies worldwide. The competition is judged and overseen by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts 700+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media.

"We are honored to be chosen as a Gold winner. The user content for both businesses and individuals was scrutinized heavily in the content mapping process, and we're very pleased with the final result," says Rhonda Lahm, Director of the Department of Motor Vehicles. "The goal was to create a beneficial user experience for anyone who needs the DMV. Creating a website that users can access on their mobile devices was critical, and the new site was geared for that growing market. The team deserves the honor and we are thrilled."

A cornucopia of content is available directly from the homepage or within one selection away in the Online Services area including: Driver License New/Renew/Replace, Moor Vehicle Registration Renewal, Specialty Plates, Pay a Traffic Ticket, Suspension & Reinstatements, and the recently launched Commercial Driver License Renew/Replace as well as Vehicle Title & Registration, Driver & Vehicle Records, and much more all housed within one website. For those circumstances where a question is required users can use the Help section, featuring approximately 30 commonly asked questions and a search box.

Brent Hoffman (News - Alert), GM of Nebraska Interactive, said, "Winning the Gold Davey Award is really something special. Our partner, the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles, is happy with the website and so are the Nebraska drivers. That's the reward we look for. We are happy the team and the hard work has been recognized."
