Woodforest National Bank & FHLB Dallas Award $30K in Recovery Grants in Houston

Join representatives from Woodforest National Bank, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) and PeopleFund in announcing $30,000 in Small Business Recovery grants that were awarded to two Houston-area small business owners affected by Hurricane Harvey. Each business received $15,000 for repair and/or rebuilding efforts.

The grants are part of $6.7 million in recovery grants offered by FHLB Dallas, including more than $2 million to assist small businesses in their recovery efforts. To date, Woodforest National Bank and FHLB Dallas have awarded a total of $90,000 in Small Business Recovery grants to small businesses across Texas including the $30,000 awarded in the Houston area.

The media is invited to attend a check presentation at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2017.

Small Business Recovery grants are available through FHLB Dallas member institutions, like Woodforest National Bank, to assist small business owners as defined by the Small Business Administration (SBA) that are in counties that have been designated for Individual Assistance by FEMA. The funds are intended to assist with reasonable and necessary expenses to repair or rebuild the business that are not otherwise covered by insurance or other reimbursement.
