Gary D. Stuart Named President of Hearst Health's MedHOK


Hearst announced today that Gary D. Stuart has been named president of Hearst Health's MedHOK, a leading provider of software-as-a-service (SaaS (News - Alert)) solutions for health plans. The appointment was announced by MedHOK CEO Anil Kottoor, Hearst Health President Gregory Dorn, MD, and Hearst Business Media President Richard P. Malloch. Stuart assumes his new role today and reports directly to Kottoor.

"Gary's fluency in technology, leadership and the needs of health plan customers makes him a natural fit for our team," Kottoor said. "He will be instrumental in driving our continued expansion."

Stuart has two decades of leadership experience in the healthcare industry across the health plan, pharmacy and clinical markets. Most recently, he was executive vice president and chief revenue officer of the Emdeon business that became Change Healthcare, providing software, analytics, networking and workflow optimization solutions. During his 18-year tenure with the company, he held a variety of senior management positions in strategy, sales and services. Stuart began his career as a programmer and was quickly elevated to lead software development teams and, eventually, to oversee Implementation Services at Computer Sciences (News - Alert) Corporation.
