The Smartphones win 'Best selfie camera' and 'Best dual camera phone of the year' at The Tech and Auto Awards respectively   

Honor, Huawei's e-brand for digital natives, wins double accolades at the Tech and Auto Awards by Network18. The Honor 9i and the Honor 8 Pro were bestowed with the 'Best Selfie Camera' and the 'Best Dual Camera Phone of the Year' award respectively.

The Honor 9i smartphone is built with a bezel-less 5.9-inch display and four cameras in the Indian market and is priced in India at Rs. 17,999. The company has not yet announced launch offers for the phone, which will be revealed at the time of release only. Honor 9i will come in three colour options - Prestige Gold, Aurora Blue, and Graphite Black. The new Honor 9i also lets users readjust the focus after the photo has been shot while also allowing to choose different Bokeh effects. An oca-core Kirin 659 processor powers the handset clocked at 2.36GHz coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It runs on EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat. The handset is backed by a 3340mAh battery which the company claims can deliver up to two days of standby time.



Honor 8 Pro's highlight is the dual rear camera system, and this one has 12MP with a 12MP camera on the back. The Honor 8 Pro also sports a larger 4000 mAh battery.

Honor 8 Pro features a 5.7-inch Quad HD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It is powered by Huawei's own Kirin 960 octa-core processor, coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card slot.


A dual camera is on the rear, with two 12-megapixel shooters - one is for monochrome and the other a RGB lens. The front camera is 8-megapixels for selfies and video calling. It has Android 7.0 Nougat on board and Huawei's EMUI 5.1 over the top and is priced at Rs. 32,999 for the 6GB RAM and Rs. 37,999 for the 8GB RAM model.
