FAIRFAX, Va., Nov. 30, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC), the premier public-private partnership dedicated to advancing government through the application of information technology, today announced the successful completion of the Associates Program by the 2017 class, marking the 5th anniversary of the Associates Program.

"The pipeline of young, talented leaders is still full and ready for their next challenge. I expect that five years from now, these young professionals will be making their moves into the senior ranks of our industry. They actively participated in choosing their charity and the classes they wanted to attend to round out their skill sets.  Our industry is in good hands moving forward," said Rory Schultz, 2017 Associates Program Government Chair.

"The 2017 Associates are intelligent, creative and hard-working. This class took on every challenge the leadership team set out for them including developing marketing materials for the Associates Program and planning their own educational sessions which introduced the class collectively to dynamic leaders across government and industry," said Kendall Holbrook, 2017 Associates Program Industry Chair.

As the government IT community's flagship professional development program for entry-level professionals, the ACT-IAC Associates Program fosters career growth through caching and classroom trainings as well as independent and team exercises and also provides essential personal, team and career development trainings by trusted subject matter experts within the government IT community.  As a result, the Associates graduates have increased self-awareness, communication and networking skills, awareness of personal branding and conflict resolution, and improved public speaking skills as well as a greater understanding of government and industry roles and responsibilities.
