Sankalp Global Summit 2017 Aims to set 'Social Defaults' for an Equitable Future

MUMBAI, November 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --

Over 600 delegates will convene in Mumbai for the 9th Summit from December 7-8, 2017

The Sankalp Global Summit 2017, an initiative of Intellecap and one of the world's fastest growing inclusive development platform, is coming up with its 9th edition in India, scheduled on December 7-8, 2017 in Mumbai. Sankalp Forum will engage stakeholders from across the entrepreneurial ecosystem to debate and discuss on 'How do we set new social defaults to ensure an equitable future for all?'

In its 9th edition, Sankalp Forum is boldly envisioning a future where basic rights to education, healthcare, livelihood, and a basic quality of life are emerging as new 'social defaults'. The Summit is looking to address four key themes - Innovative Finance, Future of Food, Future of Work and Moral Heath Economy and arrive at solutions that can enable quality of life to become a human right with social defaults that ensure physical and mental well-being, specifically for the people at the bottom of the pyramid.

Speaking about the Global Summit, Nisha Dutt, CEO, Intellecap said, "As the world chases ambitious Social Development Goals, the Summit shifts the focus on the questions that the world collectively desires to address. The Summit will bring together a confluence of entrepreneurs and businesses, curated conversations and inspired learnings, all of which will have a substantial contribution in addressing and answering complex challenges of poverty and hunger. We are thrilled to have various partners who join us in this journey of setting new social defaults."

The Summit will see participation from 600 carefully curated entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, corporates, partners, academics, policymakers, and from other thought leaders across the world. The Summit will build on the UN sustainable development goals and will feature compelling tracks, mini sessions with inspiring leaders, renowned experts, fireside chats and freewheeling conversations. It will also feature exhibition booth, art installations, entertainment sessions and track-related discussions as part of the Summi. These are aimed to drive essential content around technology, disruption, innovation and social entrepreneurship, with a focus on ideas that can improve the lives of 3 billion people at the bottom of the pyramid.
