Information Builders Appoints Frank J. Vella as Chief Operating Officer

NEW YORK, Nov. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Information Builders, a leader in business intelligence (BI), analytics, and data management solutions, today announced the appointment of Frank J. Vella as chief operating officer. In this role, Vella will work closely with Information Builders' executive team to develop growth strategies, identify new market opportunities and drive the company's expansion efforts.

Vella joins Information Builders during a period of rapid growth and transformation. In May 2017, Goldman Sachs' Private Capital Investing group (GS) announced a growth equity investment in the company, designed to fuel its continued product innovation and efforts to grow its global customer base. Vella's appointment provides Information Builders with additional business acumen and insight to address these goals, and build on its proven track record of anticipating the market's need for data management and analytics solutions.

Vella joins Information Builders from BlueJeans Network, where he served as chief revenue officer and oversaw the company's enterprise expansion efforts and aggressive growth strategy. Prior to BlueJeans Network, Vella was vice president, Global Sales ad Field Operation, for Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE), Software. Previously, he held leadership positions at Virtustream, Quest Software and Microsoft Corporation. Vella's extensive background in enterprise software and ability to identify and develop tactics for growing market share will be instrumental as Information Builders enters its next stage of growth.
