California Fire Lawyers File Suit Against PG&E on Behalf of More Than 50 Wildfire Victims

Today, the nationally recognized attorneys from Baron & Budd, Singleton Law Firm, Dixon Diab & Chambers LLP, and Thorsnes Bartolotta McGuire announced that a suit has been filed against Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E (News - Alert)) on behalf of more than 50 plaintiffs who suffered damages caused by the severe and historic wildfires in Sonoma, Mendocino, Lake, Napa, Butte and Solano Counties.

The four firms, known collectively as the California Fire Lawyers, filed the suit on Friday, Oct. 27, in Superior Court in the State of California - San Francisco County (Case No.: CGC-17-562192). In the suit, the firms allege that the Northern California Fires started when electrical infrastructure that was owned, operated and maintained by PG&E came into contact with vegetation inspected and maintained by PG&E.

The suit goes on to state that the damages suffered by the plaintiffs include, but are not limited to: wrongful death, personal injuries, damage to or destruction of property, loss of cherished possessions, medical bills, evacuation expenses and lost wages.

"Through our team's investigation to date, we believe that PG&E may have played a role in causing these fires," said Baron & Budd attorney John Fiske. "We intend to leverage our past experience and successes fighting for other wildfire victims to vigorously hold PG&E accountable for this devastation."

"It's important that the affected communities understand that the victims will be dealing with the effects of these horrific wildfires for years to come," said Singleton Law attorney, Gerald Singleton.

To date, the Northern California Fires have burned more than 210,000 acres, destroyed over 8,400 structures, and claimed the lives of more than 40 residents.

The California Fire Lawyers have hired investigators, experts and adjusters to expedite the recovery process for victims. On October 19, the firms opened their Sonoma Office at 418 B Street, First floor, Santa Rosa, CA (News - Alert) 95401. To inquire by phone, call 707-533-8128.
