SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- KNect365, an Informa business, today unveils ITPro, a new brand and media site serving IT professionals. KNect365, an Informa Business, Launches ITPro, Adds New Leadership and Extends Beyond its Microsoft-Centric Roots to Meet Information Needs of All IT Professionals

ITPro will build upon its Windows ITPro, SharePoint Pro, SQL Server Pro, Dev Pro and SuperSite for Windows roots, evolving to multiplatform editorial coverage of the full range of technologies used by IT professionals. And it presents the content in a new and more navigable way. It also connects to the annual face-to-face event IT/DevConnections (the 2018 iteration will take place in Dallas) and the Professional Education Online Platform.

ITPro broadens its content scope to appeal to the modern IT professional, including Microsoft-specific technologies as well as those on other platforms. ITPro serves the IT community with an online source of daily news, analysis and how-to's about the information technology industry. The new site will focus on topics such as data analytics, cloud and data center operations, collaboration technologies, machine learning, the mobile-first workplace, open source, DevOps, security, software development, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

"Our sites are the top destinations for IT professionals and users on the front lines of the new developments in technology — operating systems as a service, cloud-first software, mobility as part of workflow and now digital transformation of everyday work. Our new brand reflects the exciting state of technology and business: immediate, multiplatform and productive," said Sue Troy, senior content director for ITPro. "The content reflects the world of IT as it is today, where information flows across different moble and desktop platforms, lives in the cloud, and works to improve data analytics. New topical sections like security reflect growing coverage around one of the largest areas of concern for IT pros and users."

Art Wittmann, senior vice president for Content, Technology, Media and Telecom USA, who oversees the brand, said, "ITPro is positioned to provide IT pros with all the information they need to get their jobs done. There is tremendous synergy with our other tech brands, like Channel Futures, Data Center Knowledge and The IoT Institute, and with our Internet of Things World, Container World, IT/Dev Connections and Data Center World events, which will allow us to collaborate to better serve our audiences."
