UberConference Passes 1.5 Million Users

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- UberConference, the world's easiest to use conferencing and collaboration service from Dialpad, has passed the 1.5 million subscriber mark. The service, which offers both paid and free plans, has seen rapid growth across both offerings since its launch in 2012.

"Our increasingly active user base has been fueled both by Dialpad customers seeking a conferencing solution that is fully integrated with their modern business cloud-based phone system, as well as steady organic growth among standalone UberConference customers who need reliable, manageable and easy to use conferencing," said Dialpad co-founder and CEO, Craig Walker. "As one of the earliest conference providers to deliver both PIN-free participation and WebRTC browser-based collaboration, we've seen adoption swell as more and more people transition their collaboration and communications fully to the cloud. This helps further underscore Dialpad's goal of Killing the Deskphone."

From the beginning, the UberConference team has found new ways to surprise and delight customers. The comical real-life parody song, "I'm On Hold" by Alex Cornell, continues to garner new fans, and even inspired cover recordings in a variety of musical genres. PIN code free calling made acess easy and perfect for Dialpad's defined era of the 'Anywhere Worker.'

"We took a lighthearted approach to the pains of conference calling when we launched UberConference at TechCrunch Disrupt in 2012," said Walker. "We've kept that levity alive within UberConference and continue to believe in our original vision for the product: keep it simple, easy and enjoyable."

Starting with PIN code free participation UberConference fixes all the broken and outdated aspects of traditional conference calling, offering a highly productive business tool that's transforming an industry that hasn't seen real innovation in decades.

UberConference provides a clean visual interface for every conference call, so participants know who has joined and who is speaking at any time, all without a single download. In addition, there are many other unique features including screen and file sharing, messaging, and on paid business accounts, the ability to automatically call invited participants at the scheduled start time.

In addition to browser-based participation, UberConference hosts on the free plan can provide their call participants with a local phone number that can be called at any time to instantly start a conference. UberConference paid clients receive a dedicated number for all their conference call dial-in needs, with no PIN required.

The UberConference apps, like those for Dialpad, are available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
