TriEagle Energy Donates $30,000 for Hurricane Harvey Relief in Southeast Texas

Together with its parent company Crius Energy, TriEagle Energy announced today that it will donate $30,000 to support Hurricane Harvey relief efforts in Texas. The Woodlands-based energy retailer will provide aid to non-profit organizations in the greater Houston area, including: $12,500 each to the Humble and Pasadena Independent School Districts and $2,500 each to the Coastal Bend Food Bank and Montgomery County Animal Shelter. The funds for the $30,000 donation were raised, in part, by TriEagle staff and other Crius Energy employees through an internal donation drive to help colleagues and neighbors impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Since 2003, Better Business Bureau A+-rated TriEagle Energy has served the energy needs of residential and business customers in Texas.

"TriEagle Energy is privileged to do our part to help neighbors and customers in Texas return to normalcy," said Rob Cantrell, Executive Vice President. "We hope that our support of organizations that support others will help extend TriEagle's reach and positive impact."

Shortly after Hurricane Harvey hit, the TriEagle Energy team rushed to provide boots-on-the-ground assistance. The energy retailer temporarily extended payment deadlines, suspended service disconnections for non-payment and supported customers directly with bill credits, gift cards and even home deliveries of much-needed items like baby wipes and paper towels. TriEagle also hosted a community blood drive at its Woodlands office on September 14, 2017 and provided employee-volunteers for a local distribution center, as well as the Montgomery County Animal Shelter.

Customers-in-need expressed their gratitude online and with handwritten thank you notes: "I want to thank you all so much for the care package. It is a blessing to know that there are people willing to assist others in their time of need," wrote one appreciative customer from North Houston.

This is not the first time that TriEagle Energy has supported the Greater Houston community. In October 2016, a TriEagle-funded WeatherBug® weather station was installed at Humble ISD's Willow Creek Elementary School in Kingwood, one of the same school districts that will benefit from TriEagle's $12,500 donation for Hurricane Harvey relief.

"For nearly 15 years, TriEagle Energy has been #texasstrong and deeply committed to providing exceptional service and support to the communities where we live and operate," Cantrell explained.
