Congresswoman Marcia Fudge Endorses Yes on Issue 2

Congresswoman Marcia Fudge, D-Warrensville Heights, endorsed Yes on Issue 2 late last week, citing the enormous amount of money big drug companies are spending to oppose it and the need to increase access to affordable healthcare for more Ohioans.

"I have spent a career in public service trying to help some of the poorest neighborhoods in America. We absolutely need to address the rising costs of prescription drugs, and I believe Yes on Issue 2 is a way we can do that," said Congresswoman Fudge. "Anytime I see one industry spending the kind of money big drug companies are spending to oppose Yes on Issue 2, I know it can't be good. This issue isn't confusing at all - if you want to take a positive step forward in addressing outrageous drug prices, vote Yes on Issue 2."

Background on Ohio Ballot Issue 2
The Yes on Issue 2 campaign is a broad-based, bi-partisan coalition. More than 200,000 Ohio voters signed petitions to put an amendment on the ballot in November that will lower drug prices for over 4 millin Ohioans, including 164,000 children, save taxpayers $400 million annually, reduce healthcare costs for everyone and teach greedy drug companies and their CEOs a lesson.
