Iron Mountain Awarded $6.7 Million Multi-Year Contract by the United States Patent and Trademark OfficeRESTON, Va., Oct. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Iron Mountain Incorporated® (NYSE: IRM), the global leader in storage and information management services, announced today that it has been awarded a multi-year contract from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), a Bureau of the Department of Commerce. The contract contains a base year of performance running until July 12, 2018, with four additional one-year option periods, and has a value of $6.7 million if all options are exercised. Under the terms of the contract, Iron Mountain is responsible for relocating approximately 4.6 million patent files from their current storage location, which includes capturing file level metadata, packing, removal and transportation of all records to Iron Mountain's secure, NARA-compliant storage facility. In addition, Iron Mountain will perform all records management tasks associated with these records, including retrievals, refiles, disposition, accessioning and destruction.
