Opening of new regional office underlines Xplornet's continued growth; investment of $40 million has created over 120 full-time jobs in Eastern Ontario

CORNWALL, ON, Oct. 12, 2017 /CNW/ - Today Xplornet Communications Inc. celebrated the official opening of its new regional office in Cornwall, Ontario, an exciting new investment that has already brought over 120 full-time jobs to Eastern Ontario.

Xplornet President and CEO Allison Lenehan was joined today by the Mayor of Cornwall, Leslie O'Shaughnessy, Member of Provincial Parliament for Stormont – Dundas – South Glengarry, Jim McDonell, as well as city officials and Xplornet team members at the company's new office in the revitalized Weave Shed Complex in Cornwall's Cotton Mills district, located in close proximity to downtown and within walking distance of St. Lawrence College.

Less than a year ago, Xplornet announced that it would invest at least $40 million in its new Cornwall operations.  Cornwall was selected as the preferred location because of its strong local economy and the quality of its workforce.
