PER®'s Miami Breast Cancer Conference®'s Program Chair Dr. Patrick I. Borgen to Be Featured on Sirius XM Doctor Radio


Dr. Patrick I. Borgen, an expert in breast cancer, oncology and surgery, affiliated with Maimonides Medical Center and the program chair for Physicians' Education Resource's (PER®) upcoming 35th Annual Miami Breast Cancer Conference®, will be featured on Sirius XM Doctor Radio channel 110. The live program will air on Friday, Oct. 13 from 6 to 8 a.m.

Dr. Borgen is the current chair of department of surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Borgen has authored and co-authored many surgical and oncology publications. His research has helped progress the procedures of skin-sparing mastectomy and sentinel-node biopsy. Prior to his current position at Maimonides Medical Center, Dr. Borgen was the chief of breast services at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

In addition to his role at Maimonides Medical Center, Dr. Borgen serves as the program chair for PER's® 35th Annual Miami Breast Cancer Conference®. This year's conference will be held on March 8-11, at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach in Florida. The event features a faculty of experts, who will provide an insight to discuss the latest advances to treatment for breast cancer. The conference also serves as a networking platform, where medcal professionals are encouraged to exchange ideas and strategies to advance breast cancer research, treatment and management.



Additionally, Dr. Borgen is the program chair of sister company OncLive®'s Giants of Cancer Care®.
