World Maker Faire New York 2017 Wraps 8th Annual Flagship Faire to Excellent ReviewsSAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- World Maker Faire New York completed its 8th annual flagship Faire on September 23 & 24, 2017, at the New York Hall of Science on a warm and sunny weekend perfect for getting out to celebrate the Maker Movement. Over 90,000 making enthusiasts from locations along the East Coast, and across the country, came out to get hands-on with and inspired by the amazing projects showcased at the Faire by over 750 makers. Held in conjunction with World Maker Faire, the third Make: Education Forum took place on Friday, September 22, at the New York Hall of Science. The Forum is a collaborative event organized by Maker Media and the New York Hall of Science for local education professionals. A packed auditorium of educators engaged in an in-depth day of learning about computational making, rethinking professional development for maker education, and how making is not just about creating a makerspace but creating a maker culture.
