United States Air Force Selects VOTI DETECTION™ For Increased Base SecurityMONTREAL, Sept. 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The United States Air Force has expanded its partnership with VOTI DETECTIONTM, a leading technology detection company utilizing breakthrough 3D PerspectiveTM technology to deliver enhanced threat detection, as the preferred security screening system on bases worldwide. Building on an existing partnership, the Air Force will add XR3D-6D scanners while also increasing the number of existing XR3D-60 scanners currently in use on its bases. All scanners feature VOTI's advanced technology that eliminates blind spots for the operator while also allowing them to easily manipulate and enhance scanned images to better pinpoint and evaluate potential threats. "Providing for the protection of men and women serving in the military while on their bases is a tremendous responsibility," said Rory Olson, President and CEO of VOTI. "We are honored that the United States Air Force has put their trust and confidence in VOTI and our advanced technology to make them ore secure by alerting them to potential threats that conventional technology is not able to identify." Traditional x-ray systems can miss cleverly placed guns, knives and other hazardous or illegal objects that can be hidden from view without a manual search. VOTI's 3D perspective x-ray technology is based on advanced proprietary geometries and detection algorithms that, among other things, can remove dead spots, making concealed items more obvious in a maximized screening area that reveals far more detail than scanners based on conventional x-ray technology.
