Zenefits Expands Strategy to Power Insurance Brokers; Announces Groundbreaking Partnership Program, Beginning with OneDigital

Zenefits today announced an ambitious expansion of its strategy to become the technology backbone for the benefits industry - linking carriers, best-in-class brokers, companies and employees. With the launch of the Zenefits Certified Broker Partner Program and Zenefits Ben Connect, the company leverages its innovative benefits technology to accelerate the adoption of its cloud HR platform for small and medium businesses. Combining HR, Benefits, Payroll, Time, and Compliance products with high-quality service and technology providers, Zenefits' People Platform now delivers unrivaled flexibility and functionality. The company also announced Zenefits Pay Connect, a new product that enables leading payroll providers to connect to the Zenefits platform. The announcements were made at Zenefits' SHIFT: the Culture Conference, where the company revealed its new brand identity.

Zenefits Launches Certified Broker Partner Program

The Zenefits Certified Broker Partner Program begins with the announcement of a partnership with OneDigital, the nation's largest employee benefits-only company, the first of several partnerships with national and regional brokerage firms. This first-of-its-kind program enables Zenefits to marry its best-in-class software and technology with best-in-class local broker service and expertise. Now, Zenefits' SMB and mid-market customers have access to more than 1,000 experienced OneDigital benefits advisors across the country.

"Our vision is for Zenefits to become the technology backbone for the benefits industry - powerful, flexible and widely accessible to companies regardless of their size. To realize our vision, we are creating strategic channel partnerships with select partners. For the first time since our founding in 2013, Zenefits will cooperate with brokers, not compete against them," said Zenefits CEO Jay Fulcher. "This shift in our go-to-market strategy is customer-driven. When it comes to the employee exerience, companies need flexibility in their HR technology and expertise. This is a continuation of our founding vision and I'm delighted to see us take such a big step forward."

"The partnership between OneDigital and Zenefits gives customers a truly unique and powerful combination - a modern, comprehensive technology platform, combined with trusted, local benefits advisors that can seamlessly manage and administer employee benefits and wellness," said Adam Bruckman, president and CEO, OneDigital. "It's what the market has been asking for and together we are delivering it."

Zenefits Expands Payroll, Launches Pay Connect with OnPay as Strategic Partner

Zenefits Payroll is a tightly integrated, full-service payroll application that automates the collection and processing of payroll data across HR and benefits. Now available in 30 states, Zenefits Payroll will be nationwide by the end of 2017.

To deliver greater customer flexibility, Zenefits also announced a new product offering called Zenefits Pay Connect to provide integration with third-party payroll solutions. Pay Connect gives companies a way to simplify the collection, review and approval of payroll data through a simple workflow. Through Pay Connect, customers can choose to keep their current payroll solution while still taking full advantage of the Zenefits People Platform.

OnPay, a leading payroll solution, is among the first partners to enable data from Zenefits to automatically sync with OnPay to provide a seamless, connected experience.

"We are excited about this partnership because Zenefits shares our vision for creating simple, modern tools to help businesses. By integrating OnPay's payroll with HR from Zenefits, companies have access to a powerful solution that simplifies employer tasks," said Jesse Burgess, CEO of OnPay.

Zenefits' new Pay Connect also improves the experience for existing payroll integrations with payroll providers including Intuit (News - Alert) Quickbooks, ADP, and Paychex.
